Postpone Bridal Shower ?

Christina, on March 31, 2020 at 4:20 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 7
So on the state of Massachusetts we are closed till May 4. We have been closed since mid March. My Bridal shower is May 30 and my wedding is July 25. I don’t think we have to postpone our wedding but I’m thinking I might have to move my bridal shower... what do you ladies think.

You might have to move it. but luckily a bridal shower is easier to move and coordinate than a whole wedding! the other thing you could do is just have multiple smaller bridal showers to accommodate different friend groups rather than having one large one

I think you should postpone it. Start reaching out now to see what dates are available and that there is no penalty for changing dates. Your state may lift the social distancing by then but the sad part is us brides also have to think about all our guests who may be out of work, which is another stress.

For me, mine is May 9th but a number of my guests work on Saturdays so I am definitely postponing mine. Would hate for guests to lose even more money taking a day off from work.

My shower is June 6th as of right now. We might have to postpone it, we are going to wait it out a bit longer since the ban in our state is till the end of April. My FH likes to remind me that it is easier to change the shower than the actual wedding, so we should be grateful that we might have to change the shower. My mom seems confident that the shower will happen in June so now just playing the waiting game.

I would postpone. As a guest, I wouldn’t feel comfortable attending a large social event so soon after all of this.

My wedding isn't till September, but the shower was going to happen earlier to accommodate family vacations and the 4th of July (since that is on a Saturday this year). But if necessary we are planning on moving it to August I think (July is just really busy for everyone).
