They want you to be scared.. Don't fall for it. Just be safe, wash hands, social distance if you choose, and wear a mask of it makes you feel safe. I think most if it's are fed up with all of the propaganda. Hope things go smoothly for you!

I am getting married in March and we are not planning to cancel however I am VERY nervous and am constantly thinking about it. I too have a guest list of 150. I have a very large wedding party and immediate family so if extended family and friends decided not to come we would still have a decent amount of people. No matter what I have to pay for a minimum of 100 people at my venue even if 100 don’t show up. I am providing masks for all guests to wear if they want and asking everyone to provide a negative Covid test in hopes this will put my guests at ease. I also moved up my RSVP date so I have a better idea of what my headcount will look like. I couldn’t imagine having to postpone because at this point I want to be done with wedding planning.

Not sure. We’re not like everyone else having postponed already. We didn’t book our venue until last September so this our first go around. Our wedding date is in October so we’ll see what happens then

We're not cancelling or changing anything. We don't have any family members that are considerably immunocompromised or elderly. The vast majority of our guests are vaccinated. The prediction is that by March covid will have decreased. I do think that some guests might rsvp 'no' right now since I just sent invitations last week, and then want to change their rsvp 'yes' later on. I'd be fine with that as long as it's before the caterer's deadline. Whether all 150 show up or 50 show up, we are still having this party.

This situation just sucks. If I was having a wedding in January 2022 during peak surge then yes I would cancel. But if it’s in the spring then no I would not. Hard to predict the future and ultimately you can’t delay your life forever. I got married in October and I am so glad I did! I considered delaying but things are way worse now than they were in Oct. yes lots of people declined or changed their minds but I still had a great time! Give people the chance to change their mind with rsvp up until the week you have to pay.

I think we just got under the wire. Married October 9. It really started to get crazy November and December. I could see everyone around me getting it, and yes they are vaccinated with boosters also. I work in a school as a secretary. If anything, maybe scale back your wedding and talk to your venue. Testing on site sounds like a sound plan.

We are not postponing our wedding either.
Who comes, comes and those who do come they can wear their masks, if they are more comfortable that way. I’m not requiring anyone to be vaccinated or tested because I feel it just something you can’t force from people. So many different beliefs with that stuff.
I’ve actually also thought about proving hand sanitizers and stuff as well. It’s just a thought nothing in stone lol
Just don’t try not to let the stress of the variant to ruin anything for you on your big day ♥️

Yes, We have postponed our wedding too...again smh. I'm not upset about postponing it, I'm more upset that our guestlist/wedding party keeps getting smaller only because we have already purchased out STD and our wedding party proposal gifts. But we rather be on the safe side and the only two people that matter is FH and I. No parents, No guest and only 2 in the wedding party.

We have discussed postponing our wedding. After considering that COVID is a part of life this might help slim down the guest list. We only had close family and friends on the list. I added a virtual option for those we wanted to invite but didn't want to exceed 100 guest. I still think this is a big wedding. I hope the helps. If there is one thing we all can agree on is COVID has made wedding planning much more difficult.

It is definitely something that is on my mind. We are ensuring we ask all vendors their “Change/Cancellation” policies. We also plan on asking our guest how they feel about attending and sending kind reminders to rsvp.
