Postponed wedding date

Nicole, on April 1, 2020 at 5:59 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 4
My wedding was supposed to be on April 25th however with current Covid19 situation, My fiancé and I are being forced to postpone our wedding until July 25th. My fiancé and I still would like to get married by our justice of the peace on our original date of April 25th.

We have already ordered the favors and some other wedding items with April 25th printed on them, is it still fine to use them when we have our mock wedding and reception or should we be reordering these items?

I think you can just keep them to use for your july wedding. everyone understands that that was your original date and it still holds significance in your story.

I had to Postpone my wedding date as well, and some of my things have dates on them. I am keeping mostly all of it because I know people will understand due to the circumstances! The only thing I am reordering is my guest book because I will have it forever!

My date was April 18th, now August 30th, and I am keeping things I have printed with the original date! People will totally be understanding of this crazy situation!

    Hi Nicole,

I'm sorry you had to postpone your wedding. This is definitely a crazy stressful and uncertain time for everyone!

I think it would be so sweet to have your original decor at your reception - even if it is a few months later. It will make for great photos, too!

There are many resources on our website to help you navigate the serious decision to postpone your wedding: Our COVID-19 Weddings Advice Guide.

    Hope this helps!
