Postponed

Our 2/20/21 upstate New York wedding has officially been postponed. The venue is state owned and not opening until possibly April. So with a date that worked with all of our vendors we are now not getting married until 2/20/22. I am heartbroken. I cry every day. My postponement announcements will be here this week and mailing them out instead of invitations. I haven’t brought myself to changing it on the app yet because seeing the number go back up is going to suck.
I am just not ok Smiley sad Here for any other February brides who need support ❤️

Hi Alexis - I'm so sorry that you had to postpone your wedding! My fiance and I postponed our July 2020 wedding to July 2022, and it certainly wasn't easy for us. It did get a lot easier once the original date passed. One thing I strongly recommend is to plan something fun for your original date - a weekend getaway with your fiance, a date night out on the town, a spa day with friends, a movie night in, or even scheduling a photo shoot with your photographer for your original date! Make your original date a day of happy memories and something that you are looking forward to. Time will pass quickly, and your new date will be here before you know it. Best wishes!

Sorry that you had to postpone. Have you thought about still legally getting married that day and having your wedding in 2022? That way you could still celebrate? If not, I agree with Lisa to do something fun for your original date that way you won't be sad about it.

I am so sorry that you had to postpone. My COVID wedding brought much more stress and heartache than I ever anticipated, so maybe your new date will bring you all the joy you deserve Smiley heart
