Like most brides/couples here, my fiance and I postponed our 2020 wedding to 2021. Now that my fiance has officially been laid off, due to COVID-19, we are trying to focus on our budget and stick to it, maybe even find a few ways to cut back.
With that said I contacted our venue and asked them to update our package to include a few things we didn't initially add and remove a few things we no longer wanted. I was bummed when they told me that we are subject to the 2021 rates and the cost for our 'well bar' will increase, as well as the cost for appetizers during cocktail hour, which was about $450 (our contracts states that we may be subject to minimal increases). In turn, I asked now that we are subject to the 2021 rates, what perks are included in the 2021 packages/costs. We ended up getting our Chiavari chairs at no cost since they are now a 'standard' option! At the end of the day, we saved $550!
Make sure you ask what perks you may be entitled to if you've postponed!
