Hi everyone,

Are any April brides pulling the trigger and postponing their wedding?

My wedding is on April 9, 2021 with the church ceremony in NJ and the reception in Philadelphia. We plan on having no more than 140 guests.
I keep going back and forth of what to do because vaccines will be distributed to healthcare workers next week (atleast in my area I heard they are) and I feel that we are in the bubble of us being okay in April but also hearing different things. I was going to wait to decide but am scared if I wait too long we won’t get any availability for 2021.
How are all the spring brides doing?

I have a date in April. Everything set to follow covid protocols with less than 100 guest. I think its still too many and considering decreasing that number. I definitely would not do 140

I'm April 9, 2021 too, but in Florida! I'm planning on carrying on and just downsizing the guest list if I have to. I was originally expecting 75 guests. I'm waiting to see what happens in February, then I'll change slightly- like move it outside, having just select family members, and maybe something virtual for everyone else. My future brother in law just did that for his wedding and it was lovely.

Our wedding date is 4/10/21 in Georgia and completely outside, so we’re still planning on going forward with it as planned and hoping for the best. Invited around 100 but don’t think everyone will come, and hoping all those who are at highest risk will have had vaccine by then. I’ve been considering asking everyone to get tested before they come and will have masks and hand sanitizer available for anyone who wants them. And will probably have to instate a no hugging rule, which will be awkward but don’t want to take any chances! Fingers crossed it’s much safer then though for all our sakes!

My wedding is planned for April 28th with no more than 70 guests. We decided to go on with it and my venue is ok with it. Course that's half of your guests and I'm down in North Carolina, but I feel like we all need something to celebrate right now and if you've already planned your wedding, go for it! Its ultimately up to you and this is just my opinion. Good luck!!

I’m in the same boat, wedding is April 2nd. I just reached out to my venue and the county they are in has less cases than mine (LA county), and they are giving different options and asked to hold out for a couple of months. The vaccines are already being administered here, but I somehow doubt it’s gong to miraculously get better by then.

We have having a very intimate semi elopement on our planned date in April and have since moved out to October for our reception. Even though a majority of our guests are first responders and will have the vaccine some will not and won’t be able to travel. So we moved just to be safe. Luckily all our vendors were ok to move to our new date.

I am in South Africa, My wedding is the 2nd April and we are going through with the plans regardless of any new developments in Covid. Our venue has assured us that we can work on the pricing if needed.

I have told everyone that we will be proceeding with the wedding even if we have to cut guests, Our priority is getting married not the party. The honeymoon is cancelled for now as Phuket is still on 90 Tourist visas so that's not going to work for now.

I am no postponing my wedding. I’m only having about 150 and it’s inside and outside and everyone will wear a mask at the reception. I’ve been changing my date like crazy when I first started planning so I’m not changing it now.
