Postponing wedding and price increase

Hi everyone!


I’ve been reading on some forums that some brides have postponed their 2021 wedding to 2022 and for some, it was even their venue who suggested to them to postpone. My wedding was originally scheduled for for 2020 but was then pushed to 2021. Looking at the situation, we just don’t feel comfortable hosting the wedding this year and have reached out to our venue to postpone to next year. They told me that since they held my 2021 date, they would only postpone the wedding for a pretty significant price increase per person. For those who have postponed, do you mind telling me how much or if your venue charge a price increase for postponing? My venue is located in NJ. Thanks!
