Pre-planning nerves!

How does everyone handle the excitement and nerves of planning this whole thing??? I don't want anything to go wrong and we have barely started to actually plan anything!

Congratulations! Honestly, the best piece of advice I can give is to let go of this idea of nothing going wrong. When you’re planning a wedding (or any event), something will inevitably go wrong. The best you can do is plan for backups for big things and not sweat the small stuff. This is a fun and exciting time in your lives. Keep the big picture in mind: the goal is to marry your partner in whatever type of ceremony you envision. Everything else is just icing on the cake. The caveat is that once you involve guests, their comfort becomes a priority as well.

I agree, the best thing you can do is to just accept that something (or multiple things!) will likely go wrong, no matter how much you plan! Unfortunately, when it comes to planning big events that require you to rely on other people/vendors, there is just a lot of room for things to go wrong. We are definitely living proof of that! We had 3 years to plan & planned every last tiny little detail. We went over the details with our vendors multiple times. Yet, things still went wrong the day of our wedding. We just rolled with it and still had a fantastic time! Make sure you don’t get caught up in the idea of having a “perfect” wedding. Just tell yourself the only goal of the day is to marry the love of your life- The wedding itself is just a fun party!
