Hi Calisha! If it helps, we got engaged July of 2020 and started planning shortly after lol. We had our venue, photographer and florist all booked in November of 2020.

If you haven't already, get together with your fiancé and discuss your budget, estimated guest count, and what style you'd like for your wedding! Knowing these help a lot when researching vendors.

We also created an excel spreadsheet during the early months of our engagement. This is our go-to hub because it's where we keep our vendor info and budget tracker! It's been super helpful!

Get your venue and vendors secured now

2022 is filling up quickly in a lot of areas, I would definitely start thinking about finding a venue, and any vendors that are most important to you (for me that was the photographer and for my fiance it was a band) It isn't worth waiting on a few big key things, especially since all the 2020 and a good amount of the 2021 brides are planning for 2022. Good luck!

You and your fiancé can decide on a budget and make a rough guest list. Then I would start looking at venues and booking tours. Venues book up very fast, so I suggest doing that pretty soon. That will always solidify your wedding date.

Vendors like photographers/videographers and caterers also tend to book up quickly. I think if you get those vendors booked ASAP, you can relax and take your time with everything else.
