Pre-versary?

I think it's kinda cute actually!

FH and I might do something small, as our 1 pre year is on a Friday. It's still fun!

We went out to dinner. I got all dolled up. We called it our -1 year anniversary. It was fun. Congrats. Hope you have a fun evening.

Our pre-versary is our dating anniversary... so any celebration might be cheating on our part (: I like the idea, though! It's sweet.

For our 1-year "pre-versary" we actually had dinner at the restaurant at our venue and looked out over the ceremony space imaging what the weather would be like, and how the day would unfold.

It was really special.

Like @EM, we basically nailed down our timeline and took pictures at our ceremony venue to really get a feel for what it would be like on our day, then went to dinner at the place (we thought) we would have dinner. It was wonderful, really, and if the weather is half as nice as it was this year, it will be utterly gorgeous!

Yesss!!! My Pre-versary is Next Friday May 19th !!! I'm so excited!

@Constance, I called it our -1 year anniversary too! I thought it was funny. FH didn't, probably because he thought I was expecting a gift or something. We just went out to dinner like we normally do on Fridays, but we did a little cheers to getting married 1 year from that day.

We did. We actually went out to eat at the restaurant that is attached to my venue so it was nice being there that day knowing exactly one year you'll be back at your wedding.

I think your idea of celebrating it is really cute, I also think that if I hopped in a time machine and went 50 years into the future there will be a cottage industry around pre-versaries as another major event in the wedding cycle that you are obligated to do lol.

Actually yes, we plan to visit our venue this June 30th because we heard it's a good way to kinda gauge what the day will be like. Sunset, traffic patterns, weather (though this one obviously differs) and to view how the trees/flowers have bloomed!

I think that's a cute idea!, we didn't... since we'll get married two days before our engagement anniversary. Although yesterday was our 6-month mark and we DID acknowledged it

Cool to see other people doing this too! I'm jealous of those that could go to your actual wedding venue. That sounds like fun, and so romantic!
