Pre-wedding beauty prep

Okay, I’m two weeks out from my wedding and am definitely planning on the mani pedi. I think I might get my eyebrows waxed (not sure how far in advance that should be done). What else is good to do before the wedding?! What do you plan to do in the days leading up to your wedding?

Yeah! I got my first lift & tint a week before, and had to go back because they over processed them and were basically sticking straight up on one eye. So they had to relax them. I still planned on wearing falsies for the rehearsal dinner & wedding, I more wanted the lift/tint for the morning rehearsal and our honeymoon!

I have but I didn't get orange. A way to prevent that is to exfoliate ALOT you don't want any dry or dead skin on your body. Lotion you dryer spots knuckles, knees, feet, elbows. As well as shave a day or 2 before. So if you do those things you won't get orange

Oh no! I’m glad they fixed your lashes🤗. For the rehearsal and honeymoon makes sense - never really thought of that. Could you tell a significant difference when you got it done? Did it take multiple treatments or was one enough?

Me too! I had to put coconut oil on them like 6 times a day since they were so over-processed but it ended up working out. For a lash lift & tint, it only takes once and it lasts several weeks. I'd just get one earlier than your wedding week to make sure your lashes & skin react okay. Or even just a tint & not a lift, it was nice having them so dark!

As a very pale person, I also recommend doing a custom spray tan rather than a booth. With a custom one, it'll be a person with a spray gun carefully choosing your color and going over your body. I've always had a really good luck with those turning out very natural looking rather than orange. But yes, exfoliating is also very very key beforehand!!

Most makeup artist are skilled enough to pluck/trim loose hairs and shape your eyebrows as needed. If you are hiring a makeup artist talk to them.

If you don’t normally wax your eyebrows I wouldn’t suggest it.

I did my eyebrows 2 weeks out, i would give yourself at least 1 week, probably no more than 2. i know i get red and puffy when i get mine waxed, and a week would have been perfect time for that to go away. my sister took me to get a pumpkin facial about 2 weeks out and it was wonderful.

Yeah, I don’t normally wax them. It’s hard to even tell they exist!😂. I just decided to pluck them since it’s cheaper and easier. I’ll talk to my MUA about plucking any loose or stray hairs. Thanks!

That sounds really nice! This close to the date, I’m just plucking them. Cheaper and easier. 🤷‍♀️
