Pre - wedding dance classes

Yup we did, thanks to Paris (We'll Always Have Paris). We learned to waltz, fox trot and some swing. Loved it!

We did! We took lessons because, while my mother sent me and my siblings through social dance/cotillion training, my DH had ne-ver received any formal dance training. We decided it was best to have official lessons because he needed to lead and that was a skill I was not going to be able to teach him (at least, not without some "heated discussions" and lots of frustration.)

We took our first dance song with us to the first lesson and the instructor helped pick a dance that would work (a rumba).

We enjoyed our initial lessons so much that we are still going. We've learned rumba, salsa, west coast swing, waltz, foxtrot... and have started east coast swing and cha-cha.

Well I consider my self a dancer, although I really look like Elaine from Seinfield so we will probably take dance lessons from my FSIL who is a professional dancer.

Oh my goodness yes! We took 20 weeks of lessons and our dance isn't entirely choreographed (like we know moves and we can insert them as we like them) but it does have two lifts and a dip. It was so much fun that we're going to keep going probably after it's all done.

We did! We took classes with my dad and step mom because unfortunately my dad nor I can bust a move and we didn't want to look like idiots the day of. We had a blast though! We learned the waltz, swing, cha cha, and fox trot.

We did, too. We had our song picked out already, so our instructor listened to it and told us what dances would work with the music. Our lessons focused on those, but she also taught us other dances to help us learn certain concepts-- for instance, we learned waltz to help with posture.

We will be! Try Thumbtack, a lot of local businesses gave us big discounts- 10 group classes for 100 bucks, then any private lesson after that is 45 dollars first session, 80 dollars after that. We'll probably do the group ones then a few privates!

Ah! I've been trying to convince FH to take dance lessons with me!
