Destiny, on August 23, 2019 at 1:45 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 5
So... im attempting to do a at home perm today. I figure doing it now will give it a chance to relax some for me to get used to it and play with some wedding styles

I've seen so many at home perms go wrong! There are very hard for professionals to do. I would not recommend doing it at home yourself

Well you’ve got until May to try out your wedding look but I’d get a professional opinion from a stylist before you do it at home. My mom’s a retired hair stylist, she’s seen the horrors of perms gone wrong. Your hair could melt off. Perms have come a long way, my mom’s salon used to have clients sign a waiver for perms! But they are still risky, you can still end up with no hair.

Brave girl! Ok just don’t do anything to it for a while, it’ll be more susceptible to heat damage. Do a strand test in a few weeks and if it looks fine then you’re good to go!
