So I'm getting married in mid-November, and we're going on a cruise to the Bahamas on our honeymoon. I've been considering getting waxed (legs, bikini, etc.) Prior to the wedding day. So I'm getting married in mid-November, and we're going on a cruise to the Bahamas on our honeymoon. I've been considering getting waxed (legs, bikini, etc.) Prior to the wedding day. Any tips or suggestions? I've heard it's painful, so I can't say I'm looking forward to it! Just trying to decide if it's worth it. How long have your waxes typically lasted, were there any strange reactions or outcomes, and how far in advance would you recommend a wax before the wedding to ensure that any reaction has dissipated but it will still last well through the honeymoon? I would definitely get a small area tested well before November. Thanks in advance!!

Well it's nice to see that other people tried what they are selling and liked it, definitely opens me up to go there again!

I agree with all the others on this. I also go to European wax center and get a Brazilian every 4 weeks. My only other suggestion is to opt out of purchasing their products because they're truly a waste.

Its definitely smart to try a small test area first, but the first time you get a full wax (whether it be just a bikini or full Brazilian) should NOT be before your wedding. I had no issues with the small test area, but my body was not happy after a bikini wax. Waxing can also make you more prone to infections as it can create little tiny tears/cuts in very sensitive places. So its really important to find out how YOUR body will respond.

I would definitely go now to test out how your skin reacts! Don't wait until right before your wedding.

I'm also a fan of the European Wax Center and their ingrown hair serum. But if you have issues use a hot compress and then put on peroxide. I'll probably go the week of my wedding my waxing.
