Pregnant bachelorette party

Caitlin, on August 11, 2019 at 6:09 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 12
Hi all. So we’re t-minus 76 days until our wedding and I just found out I’m pregnant. Like yesterday. I know I can’t be more than a few weeks along and I’m really hoping that I won’t be showing for the wedding (literally just paid for alterations a week ago). Anyways. My bachelorette party was planned for the end of August. Original plan was to go clubbing with my friends (not super original, I know, but most of my girls are out of town and I never get to see them anymore). So now I’m thinking I probably need to come up with a different plan. I’ve talked to my MoH and she’s totally cool about it — she’s trying to help me come up with some ideas. But I’d love some more input. Preferably something that’s not super expensive...my girls are already traveling into town for this and I don’t want to burden them.

Thanks all!

    Congratulations!
we did an overnight at a hotel where we went to dinner, did face masks, and watched a movie. In the morning we got breakfast and that was that 😊

Paint night, pottery, spa day, some places have axe throwing nowadays. Cooking classes are sometimes used for bachelorette parties. You could start with dinner or lunch and then do any of those activities.
Also congratulations! Times two! Very exciting

Some kind of craft party -painting, pottery, etc is fun because you all leave with something. Some things my MOHs brainstormed were belly dancing, burlesque, or strip tease class, fancy dinner (there’s a local fondue places I love that dining is like a 2.5+ hour experience but it’s delicious and so fun and only like $35 on ladies night), caravel/burlesque show, hiking, ropes course, zip line, winery tour, arcade, bowling, and laser tag. Some of the activities were because my FH brought up he was thinking a joint bachelor/bachelorette party.
Congratulations! I don’t felt like I was showing either time I was pregnant until I was at least 5 months, but everyone carries differently so hopefully you will fit in your dress just fine 🤞🏻.

An escape room can be fun, if that's something you'd be interested in! Also may depend how many people - wouldn't want to leave anyone out, I think the ones I've been to have always had a max of 8 participants.

Sadly, there's nothing like that that I can think of at the moment. I'm sure there is something -- I'm just blanking. My MoH has asked me to give her my game plan by tonight so I'm kind of down to the wire.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions and well-wishes Smiley heart I'm still super shocked and sort of feeling like I won't get to enjoy my wedding in the way I had planned so I'm having a bit of a tough time with it. I'm sure it'll be fine and will all work out the way it's supposed to. Anyways, thanks for the ideas!

First of Congrats on your newest addition and on your wedding. Then I agree with PP that paint night or rooftop dinner/lounge spot. Or spa day but get from like groupon it's cheaper and just call the spa in advance to see if you can do like wine and cupcakes for the girls or small sandwiches.
