Preserving Your Wedding Cake To Eat It On Your One Year Anniversary?

Preserving the top tier of your wedding cake and eating it on your first anniversary is becoming more and more popular. After much thought and consideration, my husband and I decided to do it. Are you preserving your wedding cake for your one year anniversary? Why or why not?

We are not preserving our top layer mainly because my FH is not a sweets eater. However, I love sweets so I am simply going to go back to the baker of our cake and have her make a cake for us on our anniversary with the same flavors of our top layer.

My husband and I saved our top layer but might have the baker remake it for our anniversary just in case.
