Hey everyone, so we're 61 days out from our wedding.. and as the saying goes, something is always bound to go wrong. Unfortunately that day was today when my mom called to tell me her invitation was OPEN when she received it in the mail. In an effort to not have to lick the invitations (aka sheer laziness), we opted to use the faux wax seal stickers which I found at a craft store. We spent the evening stuffing our super expensive invites and even pressed down with force on the center of the fold where we placed the sticker. I feel so dumb and I am so upset with myself. I've checked with a few other people and they said their invitation was fine, but now I'm left wondering which ones got all messed up in the mail. How do I rectify this situation? Set up an online RSVP now? Should I give it a few more days? While it's definitely not the end of the world, it is definitely a HUGE pain.

Thanks for listening to my rant.

You said it was open, but was anything missing? If nothing was missing, then I wouldn't do anything. If the RSVP card fell out or something, then having an online RSVP option could be a good backup.

Yep - missing. The RSVP card, details insert, and return envelope fell out along the way. Thanks for your comment.

Ugh that's awful. Yes, I would set up an online RSVP and try to send a text to each guest (time consuming, I know, but you can copy and paste) and explain that some invites opened up and were missing information and direct them to the website with all the details information and RSVP.

Also, in the future, if you don't want to lick an envelope, I've used a glue stick before with a lot of success. I think it actually keeps it closed even better.
