So my ob/gyn gave me birth control pills to use as a method to prevent my period if it were start during the time of my wedding/honeymoon. It looks likes this may not be a problem and I may not even need to use them, but because my cycle does fluctuate between 24 and 28 days it gets kinda tricky and I might be cutting it close. I don't need the pills for any other reason than preventing it from coming at suuuuch a bad time and she did say it can help with some of symptoms of depression, anxiety and the like all of which trouble me during that time of the month. However, I know there are side effects of taking the pill, weight gain, blood clots. So I'm trying to to decide what to do, chance it , or take the pills to be sure. Anyone else here have these thoughts or concerns or insight from experience? Any help will be appreciated!

Omg! Karebear87 24 days straight! That's horrible in any situation IMO. So yeah I made the right decision. It's not worth the risk! This is probably TMI but it's started on Monday the 13th so on a 28 day schedule it will be fine showing back up on 5/11 about a week before the wedding. It's the few days that it fluctuates sometimes that had we concerned. Praying everything flows on schedule..... My cycle and my wedding Smiley winking

I've been on birth control for 7 years but stopped it due to serve symptoms. Now I get it every other week, the dr tried putting me on a new bc but it made me sick to my stomach. I don't enjoy taking bc what so ever so I'm not on anything right now. I already told FH that depending on how things goes closer to the wedding I will go get some more bc.
