Priest/rabbi officiant

Aimee, on February 21, 2019 at 7:22 PM Posted in Pennsylvania Planning 0 4
Hi everyone!
I’m getting married in blue bell, pa on dec 4th 2020. My fiancé is Jewish & i am Catholic. How do i go about reaching out to a rabbi & a priest? Anyone have tips? We’ve thought about doing non denominational, but are still weighing pros and cons on that.

Thank you you in advance!

Hi Aimee! Welcome to WeddingWire!! Smiley ring My first suggestion would to look through the WeddingWire vendor directory. It's got a bunch of vendors of all different types, most with reviews from newlyweds who used their services. I've taken the liberty of seeing if there are any interfaith officiants in your area and I'll link you to what I found.

Interfaith officiants in the greater Philadelphia area

Do either of you have a home temple/church? You could email their front offices and see if they have some suggestions for you. And are you looking to get married by both a priest and a rabbi or just one or the other?

Do you specifically want two officiants or would you consider an interfaith minister? They're not non-denominational but they work in the aspects of your two traditions that are most important to you.

Have you considered a self uniting ceremony where you dont have an officiant at all? You can play. The ceremony how you want it and incorporate the aspects of both of your religions that you guys love without having to make sure your stepping on either the rabbis' or your priests toes.
