So I have been putting off coming to Wedding Wire and writing my pro-BAM. I think it's because I don't want the wedding to be over. My HUSBAND (I love getting to say that) and I had the best day and we keep talking about how we wish we could relive that day over and over again.
Leading up to the big day I followed everyone's advice on here. I was well organized and had the entire week before my wedding to pull the last minute items together. Various times throughout the week I would take a few minutes to pause, look around, and just live in the moment; thankful for all of my closest friends and family around me. I had a stellar set of vendors and I literally didn't need to stress about anything! The wedding itself was pretty perfect, in fact the only hiccup was that my mom didn't try on her dress after purchasing it and when we were putting it on at the venue we realized that it still had the anti-theft sensor on it. But, she was able to cut it out, sew it back up and then ended up getting her full money back afterward so even that wasn't so bad.
My husband and I did a first look, which we had planned from the beginning. He can get pretty emotional around me and wanted to make sure he got some of his nerves out in private. For us this was the perfect thing to do. Although we both still cried when I was walking down the aisle (....and during the ceremony....and at dinner, LOL we are big babies) I think it was important that we got to share that immediate reaction in "private".
We just got our pictures back (sorry there are so many, I had a phenomenal photographer!) and I cannot wait for our video. I will definitely post that in a couple weeks when we get it back.
