    Budget Breakdown:

    Grand Canyon wedding permit: $135

    Grand Canyon entrance fee: $30

We stayed at the Grand Hotel in Tusayan for two nights: $497 (The bed was so comfy, everyone was so kind, and we hope to go stay for our one year anniversary!)

Wedding dress: $725 (I absolutely recommend Brilliant Bridal, I worked with Drea and I had a blast.)

    Dress alterations: $300

My flowers and H’s boutonnière: $250 (Really would not recommend. We had a friend go pick up the flowers for us right when they opened, and she was late. I was almost without flowers for the day.)

My shoes: $400 (Custom painted by C’estLaVic on Etsy.)

H’s shoes: $150 (sorry! I don’t remember the brand, we bought them at Macy’s.)

H’s tux: free, his stepdad gave him his suit that he wore on his wedding day.

Photography: $1075 (We asked Stephanie to do our elopement, and because she was so excited to do a Grand Canyon elopement, she did not charge us her travel fee. She was so kind and so easy to work with, and was just as excited as we were on our wonderful day. I loved her and I these pictures are exactly what I wanted.) (Also, the photographer was a wedding gift from H’s parents, and I am very grateful.) ETA: we tipped her $300 in addition to the $1075

Wedding bands: $225 (both bought off Etsy.)

Post ceremony dinner with family: $750 after tipping. (Arizona Room inside the Grand Canyon. Not everyone drank, H’s family left to go home right after, they had a long drive. The manager that night congratulated us all and gave our table free desserts which were all delicious!)

    Wedding certificate: $315

Total: $4852 (I think that number is right.)

Thank you everyone for the kind words!

My advice is this: go with the flow! Our photographer was late because her GPS had crapped out while she was driving up. There is absolutely no service in the Grand Canyon, and that was nothing but poor planning on my behalf, that is something I should have seen coming. Also my MIL was late to do my hair, but this was expected, as she is always late. (This is not me bashing my MIL, this is just me stating that she is literally always late.) I'm so happy with how the day turned out and it really was just a dream and I really wish that it had never ended.

Also, we brought much more money on hand with us than $750. We were expecting to pay more than that, and while I'm glad we didn't spend all of it, we were ready and prepared to spend much more. Don't be short and don't give your server a shitty tip!
