I didn't want a veil, but my daughter insisted that I have one she could carry behind me. I don't think we have good photos from the back and WW isn't letting me post a photo here. I'll try in the comments without hitting 'reply' and see what happens. I have one from the front with it stretched out behind me and you get a sense how long it is.

Nope, not letting me post any more pictures at this point! I'll try from home stay tuned.

we also plan to tell people not to take photos in the ceremony and that was a concern of mine too! So, we asked our celebrant to be clear that they are welcome to take photos after that and use our hashtag, but to please be present during the ceremony since there are professionals in place to get those shots. Too many horror stories of middle aged aunties dragging out their first gen ipad and leaping in front of the photographer for the kiss etc!

And, relevant too, because when we went to my fiance's brothers wedding and they said the same thing, one of the older family friends disappointedly put that exact ipad back in her bag, lol.

No, they didn't, but honestly it wasn't important to me. I didn't want it in the first place, so I don't mind not having a picture of it.

LOL! I've seen pictures that are a sea of iPhones from guests while the bride walks down the aisle and I just didn't want that. Frankly, I can't remember who was where, so maybe it would have been ok, but I feel like I would have been super annoyed.

The venue was Boldt Castle in Alexandria Bay, NY. :-) When I was a kiddo, my dad worked there in the summers, so I grew up running wild on the island. I never dreamed I'd get married there someday

My nephew (carrying the sign) said everyone laughed and it made him feel good because he loves to make people happy.
