It was overwhelming at times but I’m so glad I decided to DIY our flowers, backdrops, and signage for our wedding! It photographed beautifully and the flowers looked gorgeous and real the day of. Don’t be afraid of faux flowers!! We saved a ton! Pro pics of my diy projects 1

I am using a mix of faux flowers and real flowers for our wedding, too! We’re saving the real flowers for the bouquets, boutonnières, and corsages. I am also doing all of our signage. As long as you have the time and resources to tackle the project, it will definitely save you a ton of money! Pro pics of my diy projects 8Pro pics of my diy projects 9

I plan on using the faux flowers after the wedding to make wreaths for family. It’s a great way to repurpose the decor from your wedding into memorabilia.

Thanks!! Unfortunately the flowers were all from A.C Moore but they’ve since gone out of business. The greenery was all from Amazon!

Where did you get your flowers from? I was thinking either dried flowers or faux flowers to do myself

    Cynthia,

Thank you! It was actually a woodworking project between my FH and me, which was nice Smiley smile We used 1/2" thick plywood for the top and base, 1/2" dowel rods for the supports, and attached it all with 3/4" brad nails. Then, we just spray painted them black.
