Problem with Videographer

Hi all, I got married in September 2019 in Sanibel, FL. Our photographer/videographer has yet to send us our video when she had set an 8 week delivery after the wedding. We received the photos and they turned out beautiful but it's been like pulling teeth to even get a message or an e-mail back from them about the video. I would hate to bring legal action into this but she is holding on to this video that has already been paid for. She has nothing but good reviews but I know we can't be the only ones who have had an issue with her like this.


Has anyone had any similar issues?

    Welcome to the WeddingWire community, Becca. I’m sorry to hear about the issues you’re having.

    In your contract, did it stipulate that you would have the video within 8 weeks? If so, have you mentioned the contracted agreement to her? It may be worth sending one final email as a ‘final warning’ about the situation and explaining that you feel no other option but to pursue legal action if you don’t receive it in X time.

    Yes, I have reminded her of the 8 week deadline that was outlined in the contract. She continues to make up excuses and is now completely ignoring my messages. This is in addition to my email bouncing back due to their website no longer being active as of a couple of weeks ago.

    I believe we have reached a point in which legal action may be there next step. I am very surprised since their service had nothing but great reviews and there were no issues during the wedding.

    It does seem like it's time to consult with a lawyer. I hope you can get this resolved in a timely matter and with as little stress as possible.

    Is there a phone number you can reach and speak to someone else? I would try calling and calling and calling. If no one answers, definitely sounds like you need a lawyer. Sorry you are dealing with this issue.
