Processional/recessional Songs

We did things a *little* differently but we had the following for processional music

Parents: U2 "Beautiful Day"

Groom/GM/Officiant: Jackie Wilson "Higher and Higher"

BM: The Beatles "Something"

Bride/Escort: Israel Kamakawiwoʻole "Over the Rainbow"

Our recessional was Jason Mraz "I'm Yours"

Moms and bridal party walked down the aisle to a violin cover of My Heart Will Go On by Taylor Davis. I walked down the aisle to Canon D. Our recessional was From of Ground Up by Dan + Shay.

Processional: Acoustic version of Foo Fighters "Everlong".


I'll be walking down to the acoustic/live version of Sara Bareilles "I Choose You".
Recessional: The Temper Trap "Sweet Disposition"

Processional- live violin/guitar:

I have a few questions before I offer suggestions:

-Where are you having your wedding?
-Do you have any other songs picked out for the groom + groomsmen and your bridesmaids?
-Average age range of the guests
-Will this be live music or with a DJ?

I think so (though I don't know for sure lol) - but we had a fairly long aisle and rather than having multiple ladies walking at once, each was given the entire aisle, then the next one started (I only had 3 BMs). For H, his guys, and the officiant it wasn't as much of the song, because the walked in "together" (though they did process down the aisle as well - it was his wedding too so I felt like he shouldn't be sneaking in from the side - which would have been essentially impossible anyway due to the set up). For the parents - his nephew escorted his mom and his dad walked behind, then went back down and escorted my mom, so quite a bit of it played - I think.

The only one I know for sure about is myself - BUT we had the coordinator wait to open the doors until Iz got to the oooooh oooh oooohs (if you listen to the song it does make sense), so there was quite a bit played.

We did try to choose songs that either reached the part we needed "early" or (in the case of our reception entrance) we cut the song until right before what we wanted to "hit" if that makes sense.
