Processional/recessional songs

My processional song was Book of Love by Peter Gabriel and our recessional was Dog Days are Over by Florence + the Machine - both played by a cello/violin duo.

I originally thought I wanted classical songs for the BM and bridal party processionals, but didn't want Canon in D and couldn't find anything else that I loved.

Our songs:
Bridesmaids processional: Falling Slowly (acoustic version) from the Once soundtrack.
My processional: Marry Me by Train
Recessional: Marry You by Bruno Mars

The processional: All of Me by John Legend

My processional: Pachelbel Canon in D (i just LOVE this on piano!)

The recessional: This Will Be (an Everlasting Love) by Natalie Cole

The processional: Piano Guys version of A Thousand Years

The recessional: Beethoven's Ode to Joy

Hi Liz! I have always loved the idea of having a more non-traditional processional song! Have you started brainstorming songs you would want to use? My songs that I would choose would be:

Bridal Party processional: You've Got The Love by Florence & The Machine

My processional: I Like Me Better by Lauv

Recessional: Marry You by Bruno Mars

Originally I envisioned walking down the aisle to string instrument covers of classic romantic songs like La Vie En Rose. However, at the last wedding my fiance and I attended, they used instrumental covers and my fiance was telling me how he hated it. SOOO...we're keeping with vintage romance songs but not instrumental.

Wedding Party Processional: "Sea of Love" Phil Phillips
Bridal Processional: "Can't Help Falling in Love" Elvis
Recessional: "Married Life" from the movie UP (this one is instrumental, but was originally like that)

Bride- Can you Feel the Love Tonight (from Lion King lol) probably instrumental

Recessional- Crazy Little Thing Called Love by Queen

Our processional songs were traditional, but our recessional wasn't!

I told FH today that I wanted to walk back to the song from the Six Flags commercials (We Like to Party! by Vengaboys) , and he had no idea what I was talking about. I about died 😂
