Pronovias Brides question - Help please

Kristina, on July 26, 2019 at 2:58 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5

For the ladies out there that have ordered a Pronovias gown, how long did it take for you to get your dress?

I ordered mine Nov 1 2018 with a shop here in town and about mid Jan 2019 they had questions from Pronovias about the sheer panels and adding sparkle. At that time I was told the dress is in production. Fast forwarded to May 2019, I called the shop to check on the status of it (yes I am impatient, lol) and they told me it would be here the middle of July. Fast forward again to present, the dress is still not hear and the shop told my mom last weekend the dress may be here by the end of this month but by the middle of August their sure. I am now freaking out because this was the same answer I was given in May about it being here no later then the middle of July. Our wedding is Feb 2020 and I am worried the dress may not show up at all, and with me waiting time gets shorter and shorter to order and get a new dress in time (holidays and such slow down production).

Take a deep breath, it will be ok. Your wedding isn’t until February. Even if the dress isn’t here next week or in the middle of August you still have so much time for it to come in time for February 2020.

Pronovias is an established brand. ETA on the dress depends on your measurements and level of customization (and how organized the boutique you ordered through is). I ordered a St. Patrick (part of the Pronovias group) gown in January 2018 and it arrived around June/July 2018. My wedding was September 2018. You don’t want to do alterations until much closer to your wedding date, so you have plenty of time.

If you love this dress, be patient. If you start shopping for a backup option now I think you risk falling for another dress and creating new anxiety for yourself of starting the waiting game all over again. If you ordered through a reputable boutique you should be fine.

I guess my concern is that it will get stuck in customs, and/or not show up at all and I wont have any time to order a new one and will have to settle.

I do love the dress!!! I just don't want them to keep saying it will be here this month and then it doesn't show and changes to the next month until finally I am out of time and no dress. I am not at the point of wanting to try on any other dresses, because like you said, I run the risk of falling for a new dress and that will just add more emotional stress I don't want. I will see what happens next month and if it shows up. Fingers crossed.

UPDATE: Good news my mom went into the bridal shop yesterday and they told her the dress has cleared customs and is on its way here. FINALLY!!! lol They said it should be here by Monday and then I will go in next weekend to try it back on. I am very anxious to do so because I want to make sure I love it as much as I did the first time, and to also give me that motivation to get back to my gym routine consistently Smiley smile Fingers crossed
