Proper way to write invite Please help!

Ana, on March 23, 2021 at 10:09 AM Posted in Planning 0 8
So I actually already ordered them this way because of some feedback I had received, so I know there’s a very proper way to address it but I didn’t want to see like it excluded the importance of my mom..

On my invite I wrote Mr & Mrs (Last name) request the pleasure of your company at the wedding of their daughter
I know formally it should have been Mr. & Mrs. (dads first name, last name) request the pleasure of your company at the wedding of their daughter

Is it ok that I did it the first way or did I completely mess it up.. please help it has me stressing a bit

Personally, I think it's fine! I wouldn't pay to reprint the invites just to change that. As long as the details (date/time/location/etc) are all correct, I wouldn't reprint.

I hate the use of Mr. and Mrs. husband's first and last name. In my opinion, it makes the wife seek like she has no identity after she marries her husband. I see no issue at all with how you address it.

    Ours will say:

Mr. and Mrs. (my dad's full name) request the honor of your presence at the wedding of (my full name) to (future husband's full name), son of (Mr. and Mrs. Future husband's dad's name).

With ceremony details at the bottom, written formally!

The way you have yours worded sounds great!

It looks good as is. If someone doesn't like the wording, they don't have to attend.
