Proposal: Modern or Traditional?

Traditional. He got down on one knee in a California hotel room after a long weekend of trying to make it romantic by trying to ask next to the fountain light show in Las Vegas, and then again on the beach in California. Neither of those played out like he wanted so he got down on one knee beside the bed when it was just the two of us with no distractions.

Traditional. he got down on one knee and I am so glad he did!

Traditional, he had our daughters read what I meant to them, then they each had a sign that said will you marry then his said me.

Traditional - he got on one knee. He even asked my mom permission prior (I don’t have a good relationship with my father and he knows how close I am to my mom) so I was surprised when he told me that. Wedding planning really brought out a lot of traditional sides to him.

Unintentionally traditional. He tripped over our backpack as he was getting the ring out so he ended up on one knee regardless of what he was planning 😂

Traditional here. He took me to the 'spot' on our college campus to propose. It really was so sweet.

I did threaten a couple of times to propose to him though! But he really wanted to be the one to propose.

Traditional! He get down on one knee even in the dirt!

Traditional, he got down on one knee and read me a letter before popping the question

Traditional! He even hired a photographer to take "family pictures". So glad there are multiple pictures with my ugly cry face.

He did. He said he wasn't sure he was going to do it until he was doing it.

I didn't care either way.

Traditional. I'm not sure if he would have done it another way, but I told him I wanted a proposal like that. Haha. Along with a picture if he could make that happen. The picture was crappy, but the original plan fell through, etc. I'm just happy he finally asked. (:

He got down on one knee, which I loved because it seemed so unlike him. But the rest of his proposal was definitely NOT traditional! Haha!

Traditional! He asked my father's permission before even proposing! Then he took me out & got down on one knee. Best day ever! 💍💕

Traditional! He asked my dad for his blessing and got down on one knee!

Traditional: He got on one knee.

Traditional! My FH had to get permission to get down on his knee, as he was in his dress blues.

Modern. He probably would have if he carried out his original plan, but instead he asked me as we sat on our couch on our 8-year anniversary before we went out to dinner. It was very us. Laid back and homey.

I was 7 months pregnant when he proposed to me. He did get down on one knee but we definitely didnt wait till marriage to have a baby lol
