Proposal Throwback

How awesome! Congratulations! My FH proposed at his ball because he knows it is the 1 time a year I get my nails done lol.

@Fitz - Nice! lol. Yes, I was happy my nails were done (I am a nail biter and had actually stopped biting long enough for them to look good!).

How fun!!! Proposal anniversary is a month before our wedding so I'd say we'll probably be skipping the celebration.

Oh! Missed the last portion of that. No pictures because FH is horrible at proposing. Lol! The proposal was rushed and not planned at all. At least he asked my Dad though. That made it.

He proposed after dinner on our 4 year anniversary. He asked the waitress to take our picture in front of the ocean for our anniversary and while she was taking pictures he proposed. Apparently he had filled her in before dinner.

Love proposal stories!

We don't really have one, it's always kind of been a given we'd get married and this Christmas he bought me a ring and asked if I still wanted to get married haha! We had already booked our venue and photographer so of course I said yes.

Congrats! My FH proposed in front of my job! Lol. I had just gotten off work and worked 8 days in a row and when I walked outside he had flowers in his hand. I thought he was just showing appreciation because it was my last day of 8. When he got on his knee I was sooooo shocked. His sister was there and recorded the whole thing. My family wasn't there, but I think he did it at the perfect time. We're getting married January 2018 and I can't wait to marry my best friend.

In Washington DC!

My FH proposed at Blue Star Donuts in Portland, OR! We usually go on weekly donut dates, but due to my grad school/work schedule, we hadn't gone in some time. FH decided to make the trip special by proposing! Little did I know that he had been coordinating with the shop in the weeks leading up to our engagement.

ETA: My computer freaked and posted the comment 3 times. Sorry about that!

He proposed on the beach in Aruba during our first night there! We just had dinner and he wanted to take a walk on the beach.

I almost ruined the proposal. I kept saying how tired I was from traveling all day and that I just wanted to head back to the resort. Good thing I gave in to FH.

It was by far the best night of my life and I cannot wait to marry him!!

No special initial proposal pictures. We went to Atlantic City on the boardwalk in September. We were eating fries and drinking soda. He just asked me out of the blue if I wanted to marry him. He didn't have a ring and didn't go down on one knee. I did go with him to pick out 3 rings that I liked. He then surprised me and went down on one knee then lol. Here's a picture once we announced it.

Edit: he didn't ask my dad due to him thinking he would spill the beans to the rest of the family lol. We did tell my dad before anyone else though just before his birthday.

He proposed in Magic Kingdom right before fireworks started!

FH never actually proposed, one day we were just chatting and decided we wanted to get married. So romantic! ;-)

We did take this "engagement photo" to announce to our family and friends, and I have to say I'm pretty impressed with how it came out for a DIY cell phone picture! (The ring is my promise ring he got me for my 18th birthday. Someday we'll upgrade when we have the money.)

We had our 1 year engagement anniversary on Christmas Eve! FH woke me up with alarms he set on my phone early as shit and had my iPad sitting on my night stand with a note that said "watch me" and it had a super sweet video recapping our entire relationship. At the end of the video he told me to get ready and my sister would come pick me up. She took me to the top of a scenic overlook where he was waiting to propose! So sweet and special

My FH proposed at the beach across from our apt. He suggested we bring our beach chairs down to the sand with some beers and have a happy hour one Friday night after work. It was so simple and so perfect! Luckily a couple saw what happened and came over and snapped a pic right after

FH proposed at the entrance to the Smoky Mtns. It was on the 4th of July 2016 and it was the first full day of our first family vacation with our kids. He whipped the car around and parked it. Told me to get a pic of the kids on the sign. I whipped out my phone and posed the kids, took the pic and turned to get back in the car. FH was on his knee with the ring in the box. I was sweaty and hot and tired but super surprised. He had asked my dad in June and we picked out the ring in March so I knew it was coming sometime in 2016.

The husband surprised me with a date night that turned into a weekend long surprise proposal! He had an entirely doctor who themed proposal, complete with blue numbered envelopes, a stay in a castle and going to see Van Gogh's Starry Night painting. It was perfect.

We went to Florida this past July for my family reunion. Not only did we get engaged, we got to watch dolphins at dinner, see sea turtles hatch and make their way to the ocean, and watch the Space-X rocket launch and return to its pad! It was all around an AMAZING trip!
