Proposal Throwback

We went to an escape room for our 7 yr anniversary and FH left the ring in a box he scuffed up so that I would think it was a clue. I was such in a hurry to solve the puzzle I almost yelled at him for overlooking a clue. I opened it and he rushed over and got on one knee. I was so excited because I didn't expect him to do anything more then say "you wanna get married"

No pictures of the actual proposal here. FH literally took me to Kay jewelers because he said he needed his necklace cleaned and had called ahead so when we arrived the jeweler greeted me and told me to pick one (he had a bunch of settings and diamonds on the counter). I asked what was going on and FH proposed then. I was so happy I got to pick my ring! Lol

He told me he was taking me to dinner so I would get dressed up. We were on our way, and he pulled into the local dog park (our favorite date spot!) and said he wanted to take a walk. And then this happened

AND we still went to dinner! I got a ring and a prime rib so it was a perfect night

Newly engaged, but I've been with my FH for 5 years, starting my sophomore year of high school.

This past fall, I spent about 4 months studying abroad in Scotland. At the end of the semester, he flew out to meet me in London. We had planned to go to Winter Wonderland and take a picture at the ice kingdom, so I didn't think much of him asking the girl in line behind us to take it. Before I could get ready to take the picture he was down on one knee!

He'd been posting snaps to his story all night like the one pictured, as I didn't have access to my phone at the time so he knew I wouldn't see it. <3

He proposed to me on a Friday night, over sushi and cheap champagne, in our kitchen. It was simple and perfect.

He had just had an MMA fight a week before...what's why his face is a little jacked up (he won, tho!)

How fun! Congrats! The love of my life proposed 4th of July 2016 during the fire works finale... I almost ruined the proposal because I was complaining of how tired i was and didn't want to go see fire works... (lucky FH convinced me) lol I'm a nurse so I had worked 3 12 hour shifts in a row. FH had planned this and called my mom and family in NYC to tell them he was going to propose. I thought it was the sweetest thing! I was in complete shock! Such a special day! Can't wait to marry this man!

We went to see the lights at Botanical Gardens and he asked a woman to take a picture of us. While I was looking at the camera, he got down on his knee

He had balloons going up the stair case to his room. Our deal was I had to read all of them and not look behind me until he said. Each one had a different memory of our relationship on it. And the last one said "When?" Because I used to always ask him when. It also told me to turn around. Then he was behind me on his knee with my ring with this sign behind him.

FH wanted to propose in front of my family since we only see them twice a year, so he planned on bringing the ring up to them (we flew) and he was going to ask on Christmas Day. Well, he decided he was going to check the ring in his bag bc he didn't want me to find it... and the luggage got lost. So there he was on Christmas eve thinking the ring was gone and he couldn't even tell me. I literally asked him why he was so upset about losing his clothes because because all he had were t shirts... I'm surprised he still wanted to propose after that comment... lol. Anyway the story has a happy ending bc we got a call at 11pm christmas eve that the bags were found and the ring was miraculously still there. So he proposed christmas morning the way he'd originally planned. I was super surprised Oh, and this was last Christmas so it's already been a year.

We have been together for a little more than 5 1/2 years! We have talked about marriage for quite a few years now, and at that time I mentioned I would love to be proposed to in front of my family only because they mean everything to me and I would like to share that special moment with everyone!

Anyways, did not think he'd remember me telling him that.. last April, me and him moved from MA to SC to be with his family. We went up to MA in June for a few days to see my family and then drive back down with my cousin to stay with us. He had it planned to propose at my moms while all my sisters and cousins and grandparents were there.

So cute and I loved having everyone there! Can't believe he remembered when I mentioned how I'd like to be proposed to 2 years ago! Lol
