I got engaged on Friday at the Warren Dunes in Michigan, at sunset, and it was so perfect and romantic. We're doing everything kind of late in the game. We started planning our wedding over a year ago, actually, and getting married this September! The proposal was just a formality and because we had a ton of mishaps with getting the e-ring, we just decided to do it for our e-shoot. I am SO glad we did! For one, it gave my procrastinator FH a timeline to stick to. And two, I'm so happy to have pictures of this moment! We both cried through his entire proposal because we are saps.
We got our proposal/engagement sneak peeks back from our photographer and I am in L-O-V-E LOVE and wanted to share.
The good stuff is just going to keep on coming, but as the subject says, the stress is REAL.
My FH has a convention coming up (he is going to be pitching his boardgames to publishers!) that could be very good for him. My MOH is due with her first little one (and the very first baby in our friend group) in just a few weeks and I just found out that I made it to the final round of interviews for a job I would very VERY much like to have. I had made it a point not to look at jobs until after the wedding because who's got time for that? But an old colleague got in touch about an awesome opportunity, so... All very cool, but the interview is in DC and I'm in Chicago, so I'm looking at a full day of travel.
We need to get invites out soon (and, uh, picked out/made/whatever) and owe our venue a ton of preliminary info the day before I fly out to DC!
We are for sure in planning crunch time! AHHHHHHH!
