Pros and cons fall or spring wedding

Ashshaw2022, on June 14, 2020 at 11:42 AM Posted in Planning 0 4

I am planning on getting married in 2022. there is only a 2000 dollar difference of budgeting between Fall and spring, I would be paying the same price reguardless, My better half loves fall because of the colors and the trees. I am in love with spring because of the colors and I love the rain. we are located in Colorado so rain is not a factor as it's most likely to rain during both of those seasons and we love the rain, I am looking for the pros and cons to each season as I want to do a fall wedding because he wants me to have my spring wedding and I want him to have a fall wedding , our theme is going to be country elegance please list the pros and cons

The $2k difference already to me is quite a lot. Also I guess it depends on the availability of the venue you guys fall for

I mean personally for me I always knew I had to have a wedding in the fall. My birthday is in October and it’s just my favorite time of year, I feel the happiest and the colors are just beautiful. The weather could be chilly but usually the weather where I’m from is in the 60’s in the fall which in my opinion is perfect weather. Our wedding is outside so I wouldn’t want to be super hot with the sun beaming down on me. In spring it could be super cold or super hot depending on the day. It really all just depends on what you imagine your wedding day to look like. In the fall you can incorporate more fall themes like pumpkins and such

Not sure if this applies to your FH or family, but in my family one BIG con to fall weddings is football. College football! My family is obsessed and I have been to numerous weddings where my male family members are sneaking to watch on phones or into the event's bar area to watch the game. I knew I did not want this for my wedding.

I think it’s really just about what your personal preference is. For me, we picked fall because we didn’t want it to be hot so summer was out, spring where we live is nearly as hot as summer so that’s also out. Along with spring allergies. Winter was out because where we live, we ran the risk of a snowstorm occurring and causing issues with people from out of town getting to our wedding, and both me and my fiancé love the colors of fall, how it’s chilly and comfortable without being freezing, our anniversary and birthdays are in fall, we visualized our wedding pictures at our venue with the elegant decor along with the changing color of the leaves and it made the most sense to us. Happy planning 💕
