I am a bigger girl, and I am dang proud of it! How many ladies are NOT going on a diet and getting the dress formed to them (not form to the dress)?

I also exercise regularly (about 2 hours a day, 7 days a week, for nearly a year now). I lost 12 lbs. at one point--but 2 of them actually came back. I talked to my brother (who is a doctor) about my frustration. His response was that being overweight is really not that much of a health issue. Rather, overweight is associated with poor health because a) overweight often results from a sedentary lifestyle, and a sedentary lifestyle is a health issue, and b) if someone is seriously overweight, the strain on the joints may be such that the person can't exercise, which can result in a sedentary lifestyle. However, for someone like me, who still regularly bicycles over 20 miles in a day, the extra weight is not really a concern.

2d bride. my dad is like you. he runs triathlons and still has a gut. (not saying you have a gut...!!) but he bikes, runs, and swims all the time. granted he is 53. but i think it definately has something to do with genetics. plus a lot of times, i dont think its the number, but how you carry your weight. cuz they say its bad to have belly fat, that is what causes all the bad stuff.

i carry my weight pretty evenly and really, healthwise, i am good. i dont have any problems with blood pressue, blood sugar, etc etc. but i could stand to be more active for sure. but i am definately not killing myself to look any different on my wedding day.

I wish I had your guy's body love. Im a size 18 now and I just look at my self in the mirror and I get mad at myself. I've put myself on a diet and am looking into getting a personal trainer to force myself into my dream dress and size. Power to you women! <3

@Morgan D....that dress is so vintage-y glam! Smiley smile And actually, take a look at the bust and the waist lines! That dress is made to flatter curves! I wouldn't worry about what your mom says. I would try it on anyway and go with what you feel (I think it'll flatter you too!)

Morgan...tell your mom to bite it! I mean that in a good way..

You are absolutely adorable in your pics and I would love to see what that dress looks like on you! As the amazing David Tutera says...."you wear the dress, the dress doesn't wear you."

I love your dress, you're beautiful.

I didn't go on a diet, and I'm pretty big. I do want to make some changes after I'm married to improve my health though.
