Proudly Kicked Best Man and His son (groomsman) out of the Wedding!!!

Teresa, on April 3, 2023 at 11:12 PM Posted in Family and Relationships 0 4

I had typed up the lengthy story but I accidentally bumped the keyboard and deleted everything I posted so long story short!!!

Best Man is no longer Best Man and his son is no long one of the Groomsman in our wedding. So I am gonna keep this short and sweet on the details.

Best Man is jealous of mine and FH's relationship that he's trying to split us up. cause his sorry tail can't keep a woman cause of his drinking. FH and BM are childhood best friends (WAS is the keyword now) He is a big whine bag, when things don't go his way he starts crap with everyone around him and then threatens to shoot them like he threaten us yesterday. He called the cops on FH and they showed up at our door, just a big mess. Well EX BM has made passes toward me in the passed and Me being a woman and I know how to take up for myself, I felt the need not to tell FH the first time that EX BM made a pass at me cause I knew it would cause big problems and I was trying to keep the peace and keep FH from going to jail/prison. But when he called me the names he did yesterday, I couldn't hold back anymore.. we do not need that kind of trash in our wedding and on our special day. And I love FH with everything In me, but I told him if he allows him to come around anymore, that I would be gone. FH cried and said he feels like he failed at protecting me. And I told him no he didn't fail, his so called friend was nothing but a low life douchebag. But shed a little light on the cause of all this , it's cause BM wanted some beer and he don't have his own way of going and like always FH is always there for his friends no matter the time of day, that's just who he is. and EX BM was mad cause FH didn't go get him and take him to the store with him so he could have him take him elsewhere and keep him away from the house as long as he could, so FH went and picked up the beer and brought it back to him like he normally does and Ex BM gives him the money back. I just gonna keep it at that. There is more to this story but after typing it earlier and I accidentally deleted it by hitting the wrong button on keyboard, there was no way I was fixing to try to type all that a second time. But they both have been replaced, I just haven't updated my site and everything else just yet but it will be done in the next couple days.

FH & I is beyond pissed!!!!

The problem of jealousy does pop up in these threads a bit too often. It probably helps to settle in with just the engagement and wait to select the wedding party since so much can change as the wedding event nears.

    Hope the situation remains calm.

Boundaries. Setting them gets easier after the first conflict.

Confirm with your partner that you're a team and will be so as a family. You didn't kick him out, the both of you did. You both demanded respect. Also, refrain from choosing your WP until late fall. Good luck.

You ended a relationship with someone who sounds scary and dangerous. Frankly, their roles in the wedding are the very least of it.

That said, if you’ve already publicly selected your party, then I would not advise “replacing” anyone. It is not necessary to have even sides and you risk making someone feel like a back up or second choice.

Thanks for the advice. Yea things like this seems to bring the worse out in people. I have seen it many times in other situations.
