So I posted about this on another wedding forum to a girl who was asking about compression garments to wear under her dress, and I decided I should share it with all you lovely brides as a PSA!!

Listen up, ladies!! If you want to buy Spanx or a compression garment to wear under your dress, I know EXACTLY what you need! You DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT need Spanx. Spanx does NOT work as well as these compression garments!

These are the brand "M&D Fajas." Another great brand is "Fajas D'Prada." They are compression garments from Colombia, the plastic surgery capitol of the world!

These are the compression garments liposuction patients use after surgery to mold their body and help with swelling.

THERE IS NOTHING ELSE LIKE THESE out there when it comes to making your belly flat!

They are super comfortable, which is always soooo shocking based on the tight compression, but makes sense since people have to wear them after surgery.

It should be so tight, that you have to lay down on your back and have someone help you close it. You should not be able to close it on your own! If you can close it on your own, then it's too loose.

They are pricey, around $130, but you get what you pay for! Sooo soo worth it! All those other garments people keep posting from Kohls and department stores and stuff don't even compare!

Again, the brand M&D is amazing, but so is the brand "Fajas D'Prada." They sell them online. You can just Google the names. Amazon has them too! BUT I STRONGLY suggest trying it on first to get the right size, since the sizing on these things are super tricky, and crucial.

Call plastic surgeons around you and tell them you are just interested in purchasing a "post liposuction compression garment" from them, and that you would like to try it on. Or maybe you can find out from them which local stores sell them, and where they buy theirs.

For those wondering how you pee, there is a piece of fabric over your crotch and a zipper goes over the fabric, so it's not directly touching the vag lol, and you just unzip it and pee. And they don't roll down like other ones!

Also, they make your booty look AMAZING!! Like, JLo booty!! I am attaching a picture of the faja (that's what they're called), also of one of my engagement pictures. I wore mine for my engagement photos, and look at the amazing shape it gave me!! And look at my booty!!! My booty does NOT look like that without this compression garment on! I have a big ol' belly!!! But this thing made my stomach totally flat and gave me such an hourglass shape!! Everyone keeps commenting how skinny I look in my engagement pics, but they have no idea it's all because of this garment hahahaha

Ladies, this is like the secret that all those big time celebs like BEYONCE wear!!! She was just caught wearing a one legged one with her slit dress! I am attaching that picture too!

All my Latinas know what's up! Fajas are well known in the latin world. No sense in keeping the secret to ourselves. :-)

I had a tummy tuck a few years ago and wore my compression garments for well over a year afterwards - LOVED THEM! OP is right - SPANX can't even compare!

I ordered one to wear under my wedding dress but it's a different brand than you mentioned and I'm not all that thrilled with it. I'm going to check out the brands you mentioned. Thanks for the post!

100% agree! I used a faja for my special day and used another faja post baby (the best investment)! I found mine on https://fajas.com/, they have a bunch of fajas to choose from! So worth it!

I am so happy to see that us latinas are sharing the knowledge of the amazing tool known as FAJAS and not GATEKEEPING it. We grow up since little knowing about fajas seeing our mothers wear them to look slimmer in dresses for special occasions. I ama planning on wearing one on my wedding day, but first I have to find a dress and then find a faja that can be worn with it, or should I buy the faja first and then find a dress that can be worn with it?
