Publix Cupcakes for Reception

Kayla, on January 11, 2018 at 9:31 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 15

Instead of a big cake we are doing a small cake for us to cut and then cupcakes for the guests. I've seen a couple threads on here about people using them for this reason, but does anyone have an idea of cost per cupcake? I know if can vary depending on how elaborate the cupcake is, but what does it start at? Most gourmet bakeries have it listed on their website. I was just curious if Publix was actually cheaper than going to a gourmet bakery.

I saw some where it was essentially $2.50ea. for a standard cupcake; are you thinking about getting minis?

In DC, it's $3/cupcake at a bakery or cupcake shop. A steal would be $1.75-2.00/cupcake.

First: I love Publix cupcakes! The can make just as nice of a cupcake (raspberry jam filled with buttercream frosting) as anywhere.
Second, just call around and get quotes. Decide what you're getting from Publix and get a full description including size flavor and frosting type then make some calls.

I know public cakes and cupcakes taste good because I have had both, but I am unsure of the cost aspect.

Only your local publix can tell you for sure. Call and ask.

I just texted Publix and got a lot of information about their cakes. Find a cake on their website and send them a message about your approx. number of people. They will give you a break down of 3 and 4 tier option for flavor and filling w/ delivery. I'm definitely considering them myself. They do tasting also, schedule a appt.

I suggest you phone your local Publix. You would have your answer.

I just want to say I loooove public cakes. We live in SC but of wedding is in NY and if it were possible to ship a cake we so would.
Anyways. I agree to ask Publix. I think it is 2.50 per cupcake but im not 100% positive.

How did you text them? I don't see anywhere to email or text my local store so I'll probably just have to call later.

Sorry, I emailed them from their website. They should have a message box that you can leave them your question. Like was mentioned, I would call.

Publix is amazing and so understated! I don't have any pricing advice/info just wanted to express my love for Publix. We've been thinking of getting FH grooms cake here.
