Puerto Rico Wedding- Casa de Espana

Stephanie, on July 27, 2020 at 5:00 PM Posted in Planning 0 7

Hello!

We are looking to have a wedding for about 80-90 people in January 2022.

We really like Casa de Espa! Does anyone have any info or reviews of the venue/experience?

We have not heard back from the venue yet, but from what I've seen the cost is around $3000. Does anyone know what that includes and if that cost is current?

Any other venue recommendations?

Thanks in advance!

Hi there! I got married in PR at Hacienda Siesta Alegre. We did a tour of Casa de España, but I can’t remember the cost or what included. But the place is gorgeous, and it’s proximity to Old San Juan makes the place even better. There are a lot of hotels nearby and plenty of things to do at night, your guests will love it. I also recommend getting in touch with a planner or someone to help you communicate with venues on the island, you will quickly notice that communication is very slow there. Good luck!

Thank you! We looked at Hacienda Siesta Alegre too. It’s beautiful!! My family is coming from all over the US and my Fiancé’s family lives in San Juan, so that’s the best location for us.

I know what you mean about the communication! I have been thinking about a planner. I appreciate the information and advice! 🙂

Hi Stephanie! Im getting married in February 2022 at Casa de España, was originally next month, but we postponed. They are very helpful and flexible. However, one thing I didn't know when we booked our venue is that some vendors (decor, food, music for us) charge a fee for working at Casa de España since they don't have elevators and its difficult to bring everything up the staircase. Other than that we have had no unpleasant surprises, I would say talk to your vendors about this ahead of time so you don't have any extra costs come up. The $3,000 (ish) was for 2020, they raise their prices a little bit each year and told us they could confirm the final cost later this year. It includes the indoor and outdoor space, bartenders, some tables (not all), security, and clean up. Let me know if I can share more info with you! We fell in love with the venue as soon as we saw it, its gorgeous!
