My fiancé and I are considering having our honeymoon at the Secrets Cap Cana Resort in Punta Cana. We would be traveling there in mid August, but have some concerns about the weather and hurricane season.
Has anyone had experience with Punta Cana during this timeframe and if so, how was your experience with the weather?

I've been to Punta Cana in August, and it's been fine. Usually there has been a sprinkle of rain. Also, we stayed at the Excellence El Carmen for our honeymoon, and while I haven't stayed at Cap Cana, I've stayed at other Secrets, and I preferred Excellence, so something else for you to check out if you haven't decided.

Hi Nicole! Have you looked up the forecasts and previous average temps online? There's a ton of info available from weather sites!
Hurricane season officially runs from June to November in Punta Cana, but most of the time it's just hot days with short bursts of heavy rain in the summer!
