Punta Cana For honeymoon... Excellence, Majestic Elegance, or Catalonia Royal Bavaro?

We are going to the Dominican for our honeymoon next October and are staying at the Excellence El Carmen which is a little north of Punta Cana. The Excellence resort in Punta Cana is one of the top resorts in the Caribbean and they were completely sold out the week we were looking to go. I would take that as a good sign! LOL

I've never been, but we are staying in Secrets Cap Cana for ours! It's another one to check out... but we worked with a travel agent and she gave us options that would work for our budget, so we didn't really look at any others!

We stayed at Majestic Elegance and had a great time! We really appreciated how we noticed lots of couples back for their 4th, 5th, 6th, etc. stays. They seem to really reward the loyalty so we plan to go back! If you go this route, be sure to pay the little extra for the Elegance Club. They have a few lounges throughout the resort where there are snacks and treats, and some alcohol.

I've stayed at the Majestic and it was fun and amazing.

The Riu Palace is nice, I went there with some girl friends. all inclusive as well.

Stayed at majestic elegance 1.5 years ago.

Went in June, seaweed everywhere on the beach and in the water you couldn't even swim without it wrapping its nastiness around you. So that was a huge let down. We love the beach

Food was okay.

Resort itself was beautiful and entertainment was great day and night. Never were bored

Someone stole my underwear out of my suitcase the 5th night and I had no clean underwear for the last 2 nights. So I won't be going back.

My FBIL just got engaged in Punta Cana and they stayed at the Majestic and absolutely loved it

A friend of mine did Excellence Punta Cana and recommended it highly!

Excellence in Punta Cana!! Ahhh-mazing resort. No complaints.
