Punta Cana in D.r. Or St Lucia? Honeymoon!

I’d say Punta Cana all the way! You’ll have amazing beaches in both places, it’s the Caribbean, but I personally didn’t like St. Lucia as much when I was there. However, if you’re planning on staying in an “all-inclusive” type of resort, then that doesn’t matter because you’ll be more in the resort than the country itself. DR offers more in terms of the attractions and stuff to do.

I would have to agree. I didn’t like St. Lucia that much. I got bored real fast even tho the all-inclusive was nice and had activities and stuff to do. The beach was small the water had lots of sea weed and the island just didn’t amuse me.

Go to breathless in Punta Cana! I have been there three times and I always have fun

My friend went to Punta Cana last year for a destination wedding and she loved it! They never left the resort but she said it was a great time.

Punta Cana! We went to Majestic Mirage in November and it was the best vacation ever!

I'm going to Saint Lucia. I love hot and tropical locations and from what I've seen it is beautiful.

I've been to the Dominican Republic and it was lovely as well. I did not stay at that resort however, I found the weather beautiful and the people were all so nice.

Id say you are in a win-win situation

I would say Punta Cana all the way!!! We just booked our honeymoon this morning for September to Punta Cana and couldn't be happier!!!

The weather was perfect! We did catch rain 1 day but 84 degrees and sunny the rest of the trip. Wasn't crowded at all, but everyone mentioned that if you go later during month around Thanksgiving the crowds will be bigger ( we went Nov 2-9)

Excellence Resort in Punta Cana.

Punta Cana, Hard Rock Hotel is great. I'd suggest you consider non-resort locations as well, such as Jellyfish Restaurant and Huracan Cafe. Those are restaurants specialized in weddings and they make a great job. If my budget had been big enough I would have gotten married at Jellyfish Restaurant. Instead, we're getting married at another restaurant called Boca Marina in Boca Chica and we will go to Punta Cana for our honeymoon.

St.lucia might be a great place to stay

I love Punta Cana! I've never been to St. Lucia, but I've been to Punta Cana several times and that's where we're going for our honeymoon. There are 2 Excellence resorts, and they both look phenomenal. I've been to the Hard Rock, and it was nice.

I second this - Saint Lucia is nice and there's plenty to do at an all-inclusive. But there's only two small towns (one there isn't anything to do, the other there is a casino). The beaches were beautiful and we didn't have any seaweed, though. SCUBA diving was good but not amazing.

Also, Saint Lucia is the #1 honeymoon spot, so don't count on getting ANY upgrades or special treatment. In fact, when we went last week I would say at least ten couples on the plane were honeymooners and at least half of those ended up at Sandals with us.

St. Lucia - i would feel would be more private and less touristy.

I heard St Lucia is beautiful, but there's a certain side that has all the beaches are on. The other side is rocks and waves. The bas 8s gorgeous and clear
