purchasing our own Alcohol... another Question.

cassondra, on June 2, 2019 at 6:37 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 3

WE ARE PURCHASING OUR OWN ALCOHOL. THE VENUE DOES NOT ALLOW HARD ALCOHOL SO WE PLAN ON BEER, WINES, AND SPRITZY CANNED DRINKS.

THAT BEING SAID, I PLAN ON REACHING OUT TO A FEW LOCAL AND CHAIN COMPANIES TO HELP BUT WHAT DO YOU THINK ARE A FEW QUESTIONS I NEED TO ASK WHEN DOING THIS?

SO FAR I HAVE- DO THEY OFFER A DISCOUNT FOR BULK PURCHASES, WHEN CAN THE ORDER BE PICKED UP AND CAN WE RETURN UNOPENED ITEMS.

Those are good questions. See if you can pre order things and have them kept cold — we ordered our cases of white wine and Prosecco a couple days in advance so they could store them in their walk in fridge til we picked them up so didn’t have to worry about getting warm things cold once we had it at the venue.

Please do not write in caps; it's considered yelling on the internet.

Your questions are good, as well as Mcskipper's suggestion. Check with your venue about refrigeration space for drinks that should be served cold and if/when you could put them in the refrigerator.

Hey Cassondra!! These are all really great questions!

Perhaps you would also consider asking them how far in advance you can make your order and how long they will store it until you must collect it. Will you have to collect it as soon as the delivery has been made to the company or will you be able to pick it up the day before/morning of your wedding.
