Purchasing Wedding Bands

No, we both have custom made bands. He showed me what he wanted and I did the same. We had them made by the same jeweler. They arrived about another apart and about 6 months from the wedding which was great because FH needed to be resized.

Yes we went shopping together and each picked out bands that we liked. We bought them 2 months before the wedding. He bought mine right in the store, but for his he showed me a few that he liked but he couldn't pick just one. So I ordered his a few days later.

We bought each other’s bands- We have also been engaged for almost two years now and are getting married this October so we had plenty of time to look and find something we really liked. I bought his spring of last year and he bought mine this past winter. Typically, I think you buy them around 6 months prior.

My fiancé and I paid for each other’s bands, and we actually bought them about 14 months before the wedding. It was sort of a fluke though, haha. We went to our jeweler to have my engagement ring cleaned, and we both coincidentally wound up finding our bands!

We went together and bought them together using some of the money we had saved up for wedding costs. Our local jeweler had asked us to come in about 6 months prior to the wedding to pick them out to allow for ordering time and any sizing issues, so we went in May for our November wedding. They were VERY thankful to us because they don't like when people come in too close to the wedding because a lot of the time they have to order the rings, then have time to make sure they fit. My ring was in store and they had to send out for resizing and my FH's ring was not in store, so they had to order his and both took about a month.

We went shopping for our bands together. We waited to buy our bands until a holiday came around because most jewelers have sales around Christmas/Valentines Day.

I think we got them like half a year before our wedding date. he actually just wore his immediatey

I am not trying to pry with this follow up, but is the engagement ring supposed to be more than the wedding bands or is it dependent upon the couple?
