Pure Barre...wow

KBM, on October 25, 2012 at 8:45 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 8

For those of you looking for a way to trim inches and tone you might want to try Pure Barre. I tried a free class tonight and it kicked my butt. They have a bride package and other specials. 6 months of this and I should be wedding ready!

Here is a blurb about it if you are interested: Pure Barre is a total body workout that lifts your seat, tones your thighs and burns fat in record-breaking time. Utilizing the ballet barre to perform small isometric movements, Pure Barre is the fastest, most effective, yet safest way to change your body. Students see results in just 10 classes. Pure Barre is intelligent exercise. The workout launches a full blown attack on the areas of the body all women struggle with: abs, hips, seat and arms. http://purebarre.com/index.html

Sounds cool! I might have to check out some of these classes after my wedding.

I'm so glad you posted this. After my first Pure Barre class, my muscles were so tired that I could barely walk to my car, haha!

I started Pure Barre about 7 weeks before my wedding, and I was so pleased with how quickly I saw results. I was especially happy with how I was able to tone my arms and back without bulking up. Even though the wedding is over, I still try to go to Pure Barre 3-5 times per week -- I'm addicted!

Here are a few non-pro pics from my wedding. I'm sure my arms would have been a lot less toned, were it not for PB! It's pricey, but with the bridal package, it was definitely worth it.

Thanks for posting this. THere is one near my office so I am going to check it out. Do you get really sweaty where you need to shower afterwards? Or would I be okay doing this on my lunch break?

@Sarah P, regarding your question on sweating, I think it all depends on the individual. There are several ladies in my class who dont seem to break a sweat. I sweat less than I would during a cardio workout, but still enough that I'd want to shower before doing anything else. Maybe do your first trial class on a weekend?

Glenda consider buying the DVDs and doing it on your own. Thats what i think i am going to do. I cant see paying 275 for 10 classes when i can take a ballet class for $45 for 4 classes.
