Purple and Rose gold?

FutureMrsS, on November 21, 2017 at 11:32 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 37

Has anyone used purple and rose gold in their wedding? Or been to a wedding that used both colors? They are my favorite colors, but I'm having trouble picturing how to use them both without the wedding looking tacky or too sparkly. Do you think they could look good together when used as small touches in the wedding? I've looked on pinterest and have not found much.

I'm thinking the girls in the rose gold dresses, with small touches of purple in their flowers, and the guys in grey suits with a dark plum tie, but unsure about reception decorations?

That sounds very pretty! I think it would look very romantic.

I'm still figuring out colours but, I've thought of having FH and his BM in navy, my MOH in a deep plum or aubergine and using rose gold and cream as accent colours.

Pretty! I would definitely use more dark purple elements as opposed to Lavender though. Just my opinion :-)

Yes, this would look gorgeous! we used plum, blush and rose gold in our wedding. We just had slight touches of rose gold (ribbon on our wedding cake and mercury glass votives for example).

I think you are way overthinking this. It's a beautiful palette. The rose gold is a metallic and can be used with almost anything.

The elements can easily be switched up if you have trouble finding rose gold dresses that you like. A purple dress is perfect for the time of year. Also remember that by default, green is present in most weddings in the florals.

Thank you everyone! You are definitely making me feel better. I'm in the beginning of planning it is all stressing me out that I can not figure out decorations lol. I know what I want for the ceremony, but not the reception. We are going to have white pumpkin accents at the ceremony and thought about carrying them on center pieces. I would paint the pumpkins to match my colors

Love it! They all go well together. Put Pinterest down and out of site for a few days and sleep on it. I was in the same predicament. Couldn't find a pin that hit home. Nothing was quite right. But then I got some good night's rest. Sleep helps your creative side flow with ideas.

I'm using dark purple and pewter with a touch of silver... bm dresses will be dark purple and groom and groomsmen will be grey pants and vest with hopefully dark purple shirts. MOH dark purple dress with a pewter belt or sach. Flowers purple with touches of silver.

I would recommend finding items you like in your colors and then put them together.

You guys have made me feel so much better! I was going to keep the lavender, because of my bouquet I was planning on getting. I was going to add a bit more plum to it though. These are the dresses i'm thinking!

Wedding date twins! Those colors are beautiful! I'm doing purple and burgundy. I have all the flowers for my bouquets, just have to put them together.
