Cesar, on June 21, 2023 at 8:32 PM Posted in Planning 1 13
Hi all, my wedding is on 10/22/23 is there a way I can have my wedding guests share their mobile photos onto a Cloud using a QR code? Has anyone done this? Thank you on your opinion.

There are definitely online photo albums where all the guests can upload their pictures. My friend did this and got tons of fun pictures that way. Unfortunately I don’t know what service she used, but I’m sure if you just search for online photos wedding guests or something, plenty of options should come up. You can also just create a google drive with a link to that.

We used a free app called The Guest that allowed all of our guests to easily share photos to an app where everyone could access them. We just put a URL on our place card settings and on our wedding website, but you could easily generate a QR code for your event for guests to scan and make it even easier.

Wedding Wire offers the app Wedding Wire Guest which gives you a QR code for guests to upload pics. I'm planning to place "I Spy" game cards on the tables and ask guests to upload their pics for us. I'm having the QR code printed on the game cards.

Nope its free. I'm not sure how long photos are stored for but our wedding was 3 years ago and I can still access the photos. It's also very easy to download all the images and save them, which I did a few weeks after our wedding.

Do all my guests have to download the Wedding Wire App to share photos with us?

If you downloaded Wedding Wire Guest, it will provide you with a QR code. Screen shot it. Edit your screen shot so it is just the QR code. Take that image and print it on whatever you want. I created "I Spy" cards. My guests were able to share pics with me seamlessly.

As a follow up: from the Wedding Wire Guest app you can download their pics. And, no. Guests can share photos without downloading the app.

Guests are able to bypass the request to download the app. I think all they need to do is back screen. You can work around the download prompt.
