Hi ladies!

My fiance and I are huge Quantum Leap fans and since we got engaged this year we have been joking about getting married on Leap Day! Yes, it's a Monday but it will be LEAP DAY which goes perfectly with our theme. Plus it's in the winter up here in New York so we are hoping to find a really great rate at a venue with a skyline of the city. We have looked at a few... nothing set in stone yet but we are crossing fingers.

Anyhow... the show is based off of time travel but my ideas are running everywhere and I have no style or decor skills. We've discussed inviting people to dress up in decades of their choice to futuristic clothing like in Quantum Leap.

My Pinterest board is: https://www.pinterest.com/manadaamada/omg-i-am-getting-married

Is anyone else getting married on leap day in NY and maybe having a time travel theme wedding too? Smiley smile

This is by far the coolest wedding theme I have heard of. Can't wait to see how it comes together.

I forgot to mention...the other part of the wedding is our heritage. He's Italian and I'm Mexican. So I was thinking of hiring a band that can do both mariachi & Italian accordion playing. So at cocktail hour have the mariachi band perform... and then later at dessert we have the Italian accordion player perform... is that too over the top weird?

My friends had a steampunk themed wedding. We were all told we could dress up if we were interested, nearly everyone did! It was so much fun! I think your theme is great and the venue is perfect. I like the idea of table names being episode or character names. I think if you add in the different types of music it may be a tad bit confusing to guests...what about doing Mexican and Italian food stations?

My sister and I loved that show!!! Is there any way to include the theme song in there anywhere, lol! How about focusing on any favorite characters he played or episodes for each table? Have a big sign at the ceremony or reception that says, "Oh boy!" :-D Play with mirrors somehow - reflections of different people? Who's officiating your wedding? Would he/she be willing to dress up as Al, and the "Bible" could look like Gooshie, haha! (How nerdy - and old - am I?)

YES! The food is gonna be a hybrid.... and we are planning to have a DJ. And, I want the sound effects played all nite in between sets. And when I enter the room and get to my fiance he's gonna say "OH BOY"! LOL I love the idea of Gushie being our officiate....hmmm... we already decided whoever it was they were gonna hold and read from the HANDLINK. And I'm gonna put on a video montage that's gonna be a hybrid of the original TV show and our own pics and videos. So it will play all night but it will look like the tv show opening credits...

Yeah! So far this is what I did for our wedding website but I haven't added exact details about the show yet. I was even going to go so far as to invite the stars and their producers if they wanted to come. LOL

Our website is on weddingwire: https://www.weddingwire.com/weddings/4350655/wedding_new_website#!/website/9573051#website-page-9573051
