Quarantine Hair Cut?

Sarah, on May 26, 2020 at 2:25 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 6
With COVID delaying my wedding date should I cut my hair? I was growing it out for the wedding but now it’s pushed back 2 years. 🤨

I want it long for the wedding but not sure what I should do with it while I wait an extra year now!

Oh man two years is plenty time for it to grow back long by then! Unless you like it to be really long?

2 years may seem like a long time; depends on how long you would like your hair to be. In 1 year hair grows about 6 inches. If you would like to keep the length, get regular trims; using products to keep it healthy and manageable.

I was growing out my hair too for my July wedding, but we just postponed to next May! My first haircut in in a couple of weeks since COVID hit. I may have her take off a little length since it has gotten a bit warm and humid already this year.

I would get it cut now. Your ends could get so weak and split by then. I didn’t cut my hair for over a year before my wedding and I was going crazy. I couldn’t wait to get it chopped.

No one knows your hair better than you. I know that if I cut my hair, it would probably take at least two years for it to grow back. I'm at a year of growing my hair back and it's not nearly as long as I thought it would be and I still have about 4 months to go. Smiley sad

My wedding is a year and a half away, and I just donated 9" knowing that it will have grown back long by that time. If you are fairly familiar with the speed at which your hair grows, that should be plenty of time! I cut mine because I couldn't stand it being as long as it was (also #quarantinebored), but only because I know I want to wear it long for the wedding and that I'll have plenty of time to grow it back out for the event. I say go for it!
