Thank you everyone! We had a perfect low key day together before getting online with our officiant and families for the ceremony. My best friend came over to take a couple of pictures and have a few drinks to celebrate and then my new husband made us an unbelievable dinner. Perfect day 🥰

I want to hear absolutely everything about your Zoom wedding! I love this backdrop! Did you change anything about your ceremony in order to do it online? How many guests "attended"? Are you planning any type of celebration IRL later?

View Quoted Comment I bought a bedsheet and banner from Walmart the day before and hung it in front of our front door. I also bought a tripod that fit my phone with a remote so we could take our own pictures (my best friend ended up coming over and taking pictures for us but the tripod was nice to have to stream zoom). My whole family, his whole family, and a handful of our friends were able to join the meeting to watch the ceremony which was actually kind of nice because some family and friends that weren’t able to travel to begin with were able to join in from afar. Our officiant is a good family friend of mine and he was an absolute angel making this happen. When we decided to postpone he immediately came up with at least four different plans to make sure we could still get married. The ceremony was the same as it would’ve been in person with the addition of some comments about technology and determination. We didn’t have a wedding party to begin with so it was really just a matter of doing it online rather than in person. David’s bridal closed before I could go in for my final fitting so I wore my bridal shower dress and kept it casual. We have already paid off our venue and everything else was being handled by people close to us and was therefore super flexible so we will be having a big celebration once everything’s calmed down.
