Hi ladies! I'm set to be in SILs wedding on Sept 1. DH and I are TTC and depending on how things go, I could be as much as 8 months pregnant by the time the wedding roles around. Hi ladies! I'm set to be in SILs wedding on Sept 1. DH and I are TTC and depending on how things go, I could be as much as 8 months pregnant by the time the wedding roles around. SIL is fine with this, we discussed it when she asked me to be a part of the wedding. I let her know that DH and I would be TTC and could be pregnant, but that I would love to be a BM if she didn't mind having to pick a dress that would work around that.

Fast forward to now. We've had a really hard time finding a dress that everyone likes that would be maternity appropriate. SIL went to DB today and texted me that she had chosen a dress. While I LOVE the dress (Its actually something I considered for my own wedding at one point), I'm concerned that it won't fit a belly. MIL says that the sales lady at DB said it would work, but it is a lot like some of the AA dresses we looked at that we were told WOULDN'T work. I'm just in such a bind because I don't want everything to revolve around me, (cont)

(cont) and you have your heart set on it, I will just have to come as a guest, which if you wanted wouldn't hurt my feelings. I definitely want to be a part of your day, but I don't want to cause problems or make things harder than they have to be

@dragonfly726 we also had that dress picked out but was afraid of it not working with baby bump and they also didn't have it in store to try on.

I think your email sounds fine, although I would call her up to give her a heads up and chat about it. Sometimes emails or texts can get misinterpreted, especially when it's something sensitive like being a BM in somebody's wedding.

    Good luck TTC!!!! Smiley smile

Thanks Kris! I will definitely call her, I just have a better time finding the right words when I write something down.
